Club History

The first meeting of classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts in Paphos to discuss the formation of a club, was in April 2003, following an advertisement placed by Yiorgos Koutsides, later to become the Club's President. Since then the Paphos Classic Vehicle Club has expanded rapidly: the current membership stands at close to 100 members. The Current Membership Fee is 20 euros. Unlike the other classic car clubs in Cyprus , the owner members originate not only from Cyprus but also from many other countries, reflecting the high number of expatriate residents living on the west of the island.

PCVC members meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Paphos Gardens Hotel in Paphos to discuss classic vehicles and the problems they face. Currently the major issues are FIVA Registration, the high cost of Cypriot Road Tax and the non-availability of leaded petrol. New residents wishing to import their classic vehicles from their countries of origin are given assistance in negotiating the complicated bureaucracy.

PCVC organises social events and local rallies, and participates in rallies organised by the other classic car clubs on the island.
